Minecraft Climate Hope City

As part of its “keep it in the ground campaign” the Guardian commissioned a Minecraft map displaying an environmentally-friendly city.

The city is cleverly built with technologies that are nowadays available, such as green roofs, solar panels built on windows, wind turbines and driveless cars.

The map is interactive and people can walk around and play with the different features first hand: the video above gives just a glimpse of the great innovations that the map holds in store.

With its nice design and the technologies displayed, the project means to show what could already be done in our cities to better respond to some of the challenges we are facing such as air pollution, food production and clean energies.
